Even today, with all the technology available, we see us all over the world confronted with the issue of stray animals, missing pets or difficulties with finding appropriate information on animal care. Some countries cover these issues on a state level, whereas in other countries, dedicated animal lovers are trying to find solutions to those problems, by contributing their own time and financial assistance.
Hi, we are the team of FindMyPet.club and want to bring people and animal lovers from all over the world together, to help teach you a humane, appropriate and careful treatment of stray and domestic animals. The founder of our project is Nikolai Bosenko, who is a native to Moldova, which is a small country in Eastern Europe. Moldova has essentially no functioning laws on animal protection, nor government organizations for the protection and sheltering of stray animals. Nikolai has assisted and volunteered for many many years in private animal shelters and then decided to take on the “impossible” task: to create a website to unite all animal lovers from across the world, in order to create an opportunity to rescue animals in need. Our project integrates many useful functions, as for instance search engines for missing pets, assistance in finding owners for found animals, articles and books on pet care, a database on contact details and information of veterinarians, veterinary pharmacies, clinics, pet stores, groomers, a catalogue with descriptions of cat and dog breeds, contact information on animal shelters, a forum for pet owners, and many other useful information. However, as we started to develop this website, we quickly realized that such a large-scale project is unique not only in Moldova, but in any other country of the world. The FindMyPet initiative comes up with an unique way of finding missing pets and new pet owners by making use of a detailed questionnaire, GPS-data, and by employing volunteers from social networks. That way, we believe to increase the chances to re-unite missing pets and with their owner, and to find a home for those in need. For those who already have a pet, FindMyPet will provide a wide range of information on animal care, specifics on animal breeds, online consultation, helps you find the nearest veterinary services and options to search for a pet sitter, while you are on vacation. The team also works closely together with the animal shelters animal protection organizations. Therefore, you are always welcome to make a donation to our partners. We will start our initiative in one country and then gradually expand the project. This process will require great assistance from many professionals in veterinary medicine, IT specialists, expert authors of books and articles in regards to animals, organizations related to animal rights, as well as financial assistance. For now, our goal is to implement the technical support system of our continuously growing international and interactive database, which aim it is to provide information to its users and to promote a benevolent, careful and appropriate attitude towards stray and domestic animals. Thus, FindMyPet.club wants to improve the quality of services provided for animals and influence the general attitude towards animals positively, not only in former Soviet countries, but across the globe! As the issue of stray animals is a very important topic that deserves attention, as it yet has not found many solutions in many countries. Therefore, we want to succeed in addressing these issues by covering all social spheres and institutes, by organizing thematic educational activities in schools, kindergartens and cities’ central squares, by building animal shelters and by developing sterilization programs for stray animals.
